Day 2 - Louvre Museum, Montmartre and evening cruise on the Seine
Louvre Museum is one of the greatest art collections in the world. The group decided to see the famous Egyptian department with the guide. In the afternoon walk in Montmartre area with free time.

Dinner : an unforgettable festive cruise in the heart of Paris. The boat glides gently close to the monuments and the menu combines tradition and creativeness.

Day 3 - Palace of Versailles
Excursion to the Palace of Versailles for the whole day with our guide.
This Palace is the symbol of absolute monarchy of the "Ancien régime" and the garden designed by Le Nôtre is one of the most spectacular French garden style.

Visit of the Palace in the morning and free time in the afternoon to see manicured lawns, parterres of blooming flowers, sculptures and fountains, which are located throughout the garden.

Back to the hotel to get ready for the Dinner-Revue in the famous Lido.

One of our guide welcomes the group at Lisieux in Normandy.
Normandy ! A land of picturesque half-timbered houses, lush green pastures and apples orchards. A land of rich culinary tradition based on its fine local products: butter, cream, world famous cheeses and of course...apples !
Visit of Lisieux and the basilica of Sainte-Thérèse. The walls and the crypt are decorated with mosaics reflecting on the message of Sainte-Thérèse.

Day 2 - Caen and the battle of Normandy
Caen is known for its historical buildings built during the reign of William the Conqueror on the 11th century : Castle is one of the largest medieval fortresses of Western Europe, Abbaye-aux-hommes et Abbaye-aux-femmes.
And also for the heavy fighting that took place in and around Caen during the Battle of Normandy in 1944.

Day 3 - Le Mont Saint-Michel
Mont Saint-Michel : the « Wonder of the Western World » forms a tower in the heart of an immense bay invaded by the highest tides in Europe. Visit of the abbey.

Free lunch. Transfer to the fortified town of Saint-Malo. Saint-Malo became notorious as the home of the Corsairs and Jacques Cartier who sailed the Saint-Lawrence River and thus credited the discover of Canada for France.

Day 2 - Chambord and cellar of "vinification"
Chambord is the largest Loire Valley castles and expresses the strength of French architecture. Located in a very large park, this castle was used by the gentry during the period of hunting.

Free lunch. Visit of the most beautiful cellars of "vinification" a lover can imagine : Caves Monmousseau. Settled in an ancient Tuffeau's stone quarry, long of fifteen kilometres, at Montrichard. At the edge of the dark and mystrious forest of Chinon, the majestic white outline of Ussé, the castle of Sleeping Beauty stands impressively over the Indre Valley. It inspired Perrault to write his famous stories and it remains a symbol of the medieval fairstyle castle.

Day 4 - Château of Azay-le-Rideau and the garden of Villandry
It was in the creative environment of the first years of the reign of Francis First that the château of Azay-le-Rideau was built. The house has all the refinements of Renaissance architecture and epitomises the qualities of a traditional French château with its high roofs.

Among the castles of the Loire, Villandry unquestionably owes its fame to its terrace gardens, which should be seen and visited to appreciate all their charms and subtleties.

Bayonne

Day 2 - Bayonne
Transer to Bayonne and guided visit of the fortified city. From the defensive ramparts to the beautiful cathedral Sainte-Marie, listed by UNESCO as worldwide heritage.

Visit a workshop producer of "Bayonne ham". Bayonne ham owes its reputation to the quality of the salt in which it is conserved. This ham which originally was a basic provision for rural people became a highly sought after “gourmandise”.

Visit the Basque Museum, the biggest ethnographic museum in the Basque Country.

Travel on the Basque Coast in the direction of Biarritz. Night in Biarritz.

Bayonne

Day 3 - Basque coast
Guided visit of Biarritz who became more renowned in 1854 when Empress Eugénie (the wife of Napoléon III) built a palace on the beach. The British royal family regularly took vacations in Biarritz.

Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a fishing port on the Basque coast and now a famous resort, known for its architecture, sandy bay, the quality of the light and the cuisine. Tasting of the famous "macaron" in a workshop.

Day 4 - Funicular of la Rhune
The summit of la Rhune, a mountain iconic of the Basque country. An exceptional 360° panorama view on the Basque coast beaches.

Ossès, meeting with a producer of "Ossau-Iraty" cheese. This cheese tastes slightly akin to cow's cheeses of similar texture such as alps cheese.

In the fortified town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, there are views of the old houses with balconies overlooking the river Nive. Many of the buildings are very old, of pink and grey schist, and retain distinctive features, including inscriptions over their doors. One, a bakery, lists the price of wheat in 1789. The town has traditionally been an important point on the way of Saint-James, the pilgrimage.

Day 5 - Lourdes
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is a place of mass pilgrimage from Europe and other parts of the world. The spring water from the grotto is believed to possess healing properties. An estimated 200 million people have visited the shrine since 1860.

Climb to the peak of Jer by funicular: panoramic view over the valley and the city of Lourdes. The peak of Jer is recognizable by its large cross illuminated at night.
